Hope is an important spiritual principle that operates alongside our faith.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Hebrews 11:1
Hope (elpizō) means to have confidence and trust with expectation.
We have faith (pistis), trust, and reliance in God, who is our hope.
Faith is the substance (hupostasi) or confidence in what we hope for.
In other words, FAITH is the conviction or persuasion of what is true with confidence and trust in what we are expecting without yet seeing what we are hoping and trusting and believing for.

The Bible tells us to have hope in God’s mercy.
The Lord takes pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. Psalm 147: 11
God is our only hope because he will never fail us. His word is trustworthy.
