After careful examination of the Nephilim theories, I have concluded that the Sethite argument is the most feasible.
That being said, I want to share how I came to this conclusion based on my research and understanding of scripture.
The reason I am doing this post is to allow you to hear the Sethite argument and then compare that to what the Nephilim preachers are propagating.
Before I do, I want to point out that just because one is a theologian does not mean one has correct doctrine. Doctrine is based on interpretation of scripture. Many theologians disagree on Doctrine.
Appealing to authority is a faulty argument.
That is because, rather than weighing and considering evidence, one accepts something as true because an authority figure says it is true.
Many authority figures throughout history have put forth their version of the truth only to be proven wrong eventually.
Also, the appeal to popularity argument is a fallacy. Just because a doctrine is popular does not make it true.
The bandwagon fallacy is the belief that something is true because many people believe it.
Again, a popular doctrine is not necessarily a correct doctrine. One should always examine the doctrine they believe to be true to see if it really is true. Otherwise, one could be unknowingly believing a lie. Ignorance, according to the Bible, is a sin.

My motive for putting forth the Sethite argument is the popularity of the myth of the fallen angels mating with man. I say myth because that is exactly what I believe it is, and, being a myth, it would be classified as a false doctrine.
Every doctrine that does not align with scripture is to be rejected. One has only to look at the fruit of this false doctrine to see the damage it is doing in the body of Christ.
By damage, I mean swaying others away from the simplicity of the gospel of grace through faith in Jesus Christ and instead glorifying Satan’s kingdom. Many are falling away from the truth in these last days and are given over to fables.
Itching ears want to hear sensationalism rather than the true word of God.
What do these nephilim preachers have to gain by propagating their myth, you might ask?
For the same reason, any false teacher promotes false doctrine—driven by popularity, money, and deception.
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. 2 Corinthians 11: 13-15
For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
2 Timothy 4: 3,4
If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain. 1 Timothy 6:3-5
So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Ephesians 4:14
But test everything; hold fast what is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:12
Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons. 1Timothy 4:1
Some people today accept the Nephilim hybrid theory because they do not know that there is another explanation for Genesis 6.
It is dishonest to give a theory without presenting a countertheory. Unless something is a proven fact, it remains a theory.
A theory is based on the examination of evidence and the development of an interpretation of that evidence. A theory is not a proven fact.
After I present the Sethite argument (which none of the Nephilim hybred preachers will do), then you can come to your own conclusion concerning the matter.
The very fact that the Sethite version of the ‘Sons of God’ is not being presented should be a red flag in and of itself. It reveals a motive to suppress an alternate argument.
Why would these preachers do that? Why not give the other side of the argument? Is it possible that by doing that they would endanger their narrative?
Whatever the motive, I will present the Sethite version to you so you can compare it with what the Nephilim hybrid preachers are propagating.
I will not go into detail on the theory that fallen angels cohabitated with humans, as it is widely discussed online. What I will do is challenge some of their premises by presenting an alternative explanation to their arguments.
That way, you can decide for yourself which argument is weightier.
I will start by presenting my premises, then come to my conclusion.
In the next blog, I will present my first premise.
Altogether, there are 13 premises and a conclusion.
I have done extensive research on this topic so this series will consist of 15 blogs.

If, after reading this series, you still think that the Nephilim hybrid theory is the weightier argument, then by all means. But know this: there is an alternate argument for Genesis 6 that carries weight.
When this series is finished I will continue with the spirtual principles series.
