Be Diligent!

The Bible says that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
Hebrews 11:6

Diligent is one of those English words that have a deeper meaning than at face value.

To be diligent is to be busy working and engaged in an active labour.

It is to be in a constant effort to accomplish something. To be attentive and persistent in it.

Diligent in the Hebrew can be translated as châphaώ which means too seek or search for. To find something that is hidden.

Diligent can also be translated as mâhîyr. To be eager, diligent, and determined.

The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want. Proverbs 21:5

The Greek word for diligent is spoudaioteros or spoudazō

It means to be earnest or diligent. To endeavor to labor.

Hebrews 11:6 says to diligently seek the Lord.
The word used is ekzēteō which means to seek out, seek after, seek carefully.

This is significant because scriptures exhort us to seek after God with diligence.

When one is diligent in an effort to do something it is a spiritual principle for success.

Are you seeking God for something? Then seek him with diligence! You will be rewarded for it!

Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men. Proverbs 22:29
